What the critics are saying
“Under the direction of Sea Theatre's artistic director Bill Devine, Plan B looks slick (a handsome boardroom table dominates the set designed by Lynda and Gary Chu), sounds terrific (with jazzy sound design by Dorothy Dittrich) and features a terrific cast completely attuned to Plan B's edgy, satirical style....like Brecht, Healey keeps our emotions at bay and engages our minds. But unlike Brecht, he keeps us laughing while he does it”.
Jo Ledingham – The Vancouver Courier
“Tensions between Quebec and English Canada (and negotiations for the disbanding of their alliance) fuel veteran playwright Michael Healey's lauded satire of our national identity crisis. Private betrayals conflate with political betrayals; the action swings between bedroom and boardroom. Classic Cancon.”
Michael Harris – Globe and Mail
“an excellent production, with great acting and enough laughs to keep you going..... Plan B is entertaining and thought-provoking.”
John Jane – Review Vancouver
“ ...Adam Henderson handles Michael’s overwritten text—and the character’s many turns—with aplomb. Howard Siegel fills Colin’s expletive-laden dialogue with genuine fury. Jacques Lalonde brings a sweet deadpan to Mathieu. And France Perras makes a smart and sexy Lise.”
Colin Thomas – Georgia Straight
